Oh, the memories... the aroma of spicy crawfish and cold beer lingering around the town of Starkville beginning Thursday - the girl in the pretty dress and no makeup walking up South Montgomery in cute strappy heels as we headed to church Sunday morning that I wanted to pick up to save her a little misery - I mean, did she not have anyone to call and pick her up? The Huddle House parking lot overflow on Saturday morning - and the Oby's line being wrapped around the building at Sunday lunch for that last bite before heading back home... those were the days!
Full of fun (and maybe some not so fun) memories from those days that we will never forget and wouldn't trade for the world, it's always enjoyable to sit back and watch as others get to share in those same experiences as we did long years ago. Hard to believe that I will celebrate my 8 year anniversary tomorrow (Happy April Fools Day!) and that I am now living in Starkville examining the current college lifestyles at the baseball stadium in right field while sitting in my maroon chair at 31 years YOUNG, with my 3 year old eating pickle relish out of packages from the concession stand - yes, disgusting, and she loved every bite of the 9 packs - and so pregnant that I can barely get out of the chair, and Jeffrey is enjoying every moment as if he were a child himself. Things do change, but it's always fun to look back on the past and relive those precious memories up to the current future and look at what all has happened and how far we have come! I hope these students will cherish these times and be as fortunate as us to have such blessings as fun memories and wonderful friends!!!
